Bala founded Siharum Advisors, LLC in 2008 and currently serves as its Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Bala has more than 30 years of experience in asset allocation, manager selection, and portfolio construction. Before founding Siharum, Bala was the Chief Investment Officer and a member of the Board of Directors at Federal Street Advisors, Inc. From 1995 through 2000, Bala worked at Kobren Insight Management as an Analyst and later was promoted to the firm’s Director of Research position. Bala began his investment career as a Quantitative Analyst at Aeltus Investment Management, Inc.
Bala was born in Sri Lanka and received a BS in Engineering from Bharathiyar University in Coimbatore, India, and an MBA from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and the Boston Estate Planning Council. Bala, his wife, and their daughter reside in Weston, Massachusetts.
